The Three Graces, of Greek mythology, beauty,
joy and charm symbolise the essential character
of Graceland Vineyards. Our flagship blend,
Three Graces is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot and Shiraz.
The grapes are handpicked, wild yeast fermented
in open cement tanks, and then moved to barrel
for malolactic fermentation. After 14 months
of maturation and careful barrel selection,
blended and returned to select French barrels.
10 months later the wine is bottled, unfined and
Three Graces is always Cabernet dominant, but
2013 is slightly different, in that the three
varietals are almost in equal share, with
Cabernet just topping the others.
The cooler style Shiraz is not prominent at all,
making for a seamless blend reminiscent of
Bordeaux. Elegant, fine tannins, well suited for
classic dining. Soft tannins making the wine
accessible at an early age, but enough structure
to keep for 10 years.
